N.I.R.A. Neptune 803
The N.I.R.A. Neptune 803 is a fast residual solvent analyser for flexible packaging. It is designed to allow production teams to correct their processes involving solvents, inks, and adhesives in real time.
Description
Built for modern laboratories and production environments, the Neptune 803 combines speed, precision, and ease of use – helping teams streamline testing workflows while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance (to EN 13628 and ASTM 1884).
A high concentration of residual solvent can cause unpleasant odours in flexible packaging, alter the taste of food and beverages, ruin graphics (e.g. by blocking rolls), and reduce mechanical capabilities (e.g. by causing delamination). The analyser’s quality control covers raw materials (such as inks, adhesives, and films) to the final product (residual solvents in printed and laminated materials).
Features & Benefits
Key Features
- Industrial PC (Windows) and touchscreen interface.
- Integrated headspace without external sample transfer line.
- Full electronic pressures control – no more manual adjustments needed.
- Multiple incubation options.
Benefits
- Faster testing – response time is 7-14 minutes, compared to 45-50 minutes for traditional laboratory gas chromatography.
- Low maintenance – calibration checks are only required every 6 months, and the procedure is guided by the software. Service visit recommended annually.
- Works in harsh environments – suitable for production areas, therefore eliminating waiting times from the laboratory and ensuring QC in the production area 24/7.
- Compliance with standards – EN 13628 and ASTM 1884.
- Easy operation – touchscreen, updated software interface, and downloadable reports (CSV or PDF formats). Minimal training required to use.
