HS-2 Heat Seal Tester
Industry standard Heat Seal Tester. Produces controlled heat seals (ASTM F2029) of heatsealable materials (plastics, papers, compostables) for seal strength measurement (ASTM F88).
HS-2 provides control of Sealing Temperature, Sealing Pressure and Dwell Time. Standard sealing jaws: 25mm x 50mm, precision ground flat faces, easy change slide-on design. Custom sizes and profiles available. HS-2 has been established as the industry standard since 1985.

HS-2 Heat Seal Tester
HS-2 is a precision Heat Sealer, ideal for preparation of heat seals for seal strength testing in heatsealable flexible packaging materials (plastics, papers, compostables) to determine optimum sealing parameters of temperature, pressure and dwell time.
This Heat Seal Tester provides precise control of sealing jaw temperature and force/pressure, and the cycle controller enables precise dwell times from 0.1s.
As the world transitions to more recycleable materials, more precise control of heat seal parameters are needed. HS-2 is ideal for QC and R&D use. The data produced helps optimise material specifications, packaging machinery speed and seal integrity.
HS-2 has one set of interchangeable sealing jaws, see model HSG-3 for 3 sets, HSG-5 for 5 sets, and HT-2PC for automatic Heat Seal Testing.
