TQC Sheen Fibro PGX+ Pocket Goniometer

The PGX+ is a portable, video-based instrument designed for quality control applications. To perform a measurement, simply place the unit directly on the specimen and press “start.” No sample cutting or preparation is required, saving set up time and eliminating the need for sample manipulation.

The integrated pump delivers accurate droplets in steps of 0.5 µl and the built-in camera captures single droplet images to determine the static contact angle at “equilibrium” or a sequence of images to measure the dynamic wetting, rate of sorption and spreading as a function of time. The PGX+ software measures surface tension of the test liquid, calculates the surface energy of a solid and includes a report generator. The PGX+ is connected directly to the USB port of a laptop or a desktop computer.

Pocket Goniometer perfection

Highly accurate Pocket Goniometer measures the contact angle (both dynamic and static) of liquid droplets on a wide range of materials. Taking some 80 pictures per second, it makes surface tension and surface free energy (SFE) inspection quick and easy.

First the PGX+ goniometer makes a drop in µl according to the size you set. The drop is automatically released and the high-tech camera gets to work! Typically you’ll want to use deionized water for your tests, but you can also work with other liquids.

Expert goniometer testing analysis

Your test data is instantly transferred to your computer, connected to custom-designed software. This powerful link-up gives you an easy overview of the possible tests. Pictures and results are stored and analysed while the direct feedback helps you to make quick adjustments to improve the results.

Full control Goniometer testing

The PGX+ digital Pocket Goniometer is the ideal instrument to perform dynamic tests like absorption tests. During a test, the apparatus is connected to the computer software which provides an accessible overview of the optional tests, giving you full control. The Pocket Goniometer’s adjustable parameters include droplet size, method of deposit, start delay and sample rate.

The PGX+ Pocket Goniometer creates a mini test environment which you can place samples directly onto. So you don’t have to waste valuable time preparing individual samples.
