HXS-1 Heat Sealer

Advancement in the design of flexible packaging materials, laminates, foils and coated papers means faster speeds can be run on packaging machines. To cope with the demands and requirements on the packaging technologist, RDM Test Equipment have designed and developed a new heat sealer which incorporates a state of the art control panel for temperature, pressure and dwell time. A single display and control panel allows complete parameter set up with the ability to store a set up file (or tool) for each material tested.

The HSX-1 Heat Sealer provides an effective tool for establishing heat seal thresholds for all types of films, laminates, foils, coated papers, boards and plastics in a revolutionary effective and reliable way.

Specification:

Control Panel:

• PP41 process controller LCD/W 320 x 240 pixels. 5.7" (145mm) display diagonals. 40 key membrane key pad. IP65 protection, RS232 communication interface.
• Up to 10 digital inputs and 8 digital output capability.

Temperature:

• 0-250ºC (0-482ºF) 1ºC res +/- 1 digit operating +/- 0.5 ºC (+/-0.9 ºF) with band alarm (over/under).

Pressure:

• 0-100 PSI (0.68 bar, 0-689 kpa) via electro pneumatic regulator 0-10 bar +/- 1.0% of span operating +/-% with band alarm (over/under).

Time Dwell:

• 0-10 sec range, 0.1 sec resolution.
• Real time base generated by process controller +/-0.5% operating +/-5%

Time delay:

• 0-10 sec range, 1 sec resolution real time base generated by process controller. +/-0.5% operating +/-85%

Sealing Jaws:

• Standard 25 x 300mm (1" x 12") aluminium ground flat face with 60 shore hardness silicone rubber lower jaw.

Options:

• Split sealing head and control panel. Heated lower 25 x 300mm (1 x 12) aluminium ground flat face sealing jaw. 25 x 300mm matched crimp profile jaw with 120º x 1.8mm pitch running along length of jaw.
• Teflon coating.
• Custom designed jaws.
